I am originally from Massachusetts and moved to Tennessee April of 2001. I love it here. I am married going on year 5 and I have 5 dachshunds (3 are my mother inlaws). We moved my mother inlaw down with us this past November and I couldn't be happier. She and I are very close. I am a grandmother of two. My recent grandaughter was just born on March 16th and on my birthday. She was 8 weeks early but doing great. Couldn't ask for a better birthday present.I'm adopted and just recently found my birht mother and two older sisters. I'm very fortunate to be able to obtain my medical history along with a new found family. I quit smoking 2.5 years ago and the weight wasn't bad until this past year. I just recently been diagnosed as a low grade diabetic and I've been put on a 1200 cal diet. It's okay, not as hard as I thought but sometimes challenging. I've also started walking a lot more often as well as directed by my Endocrinologist to get 15 min of cardio per day. I'm really trying to do that everyday and then some. I'm hoping with this site and moral support I can lose my goal weight and the diabetes. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Desk Snacks - What are your Favorites
Wheat Thins are a good snack too. maybe with a little peanut butter. If you like tea, make your own with splenda. I love the 100 cal packs too. There are so many to choose from now. Good Luck.

Hello
not sure what stats to share. My endocrinologist put me on the 1200 cal per day and I have been following it according to the online journals I have used. I have a Calorie King book that she gave me to use as well and it helps a lot when eating out and grocery shopping. Let me know what stats you want and I'll get them to you. Thanks for your help and support.

Hello
Hi everyone. I'm new to the site. I've been looking for something that would be easy for me to use to keep track of my calorie intake and to also give great moral support. I was diagnosed with diabetes a month back and I've been put on a 1200 calorie change of life eating habit. My cholesterol is through the roof. So, I need support and maybe even a diet buddy. I will welcome anyone who wants to chat on a daily basis and/or become a diet buddy and supporter. Thank you all. Smile
