I am married and my husband I have 6 grown children between us and 17 grandchildren and one G-Grand-daughter. We live in Maine in the country. My husband is retired from dairy farming but helps his son some with the haying. I have a small sewing business and do other needlecrafts. I make quilts and give most of them away to family and loved ones.

Needing of encouragement and support
I have learned that for me, counting calories keeps things real. By counting calories, I do or kid myself thinking I am doing worse or better than I actually am. I try to make healthy choices but know that I can have too much of a good thing.

weigh everyday
We are all different. We need to do what works for us. I personally do best when I weigh daily. Otherwise I convince myself that I am doing better or worse than I actually am. I expect my weight to fluctuate depending on my activity level, water retention, amount of sleep I get and other things. My best measurement is really my tracking.

I am 72 with 60 + pounds to lose. After this vacation, I will settle down and focus.
