I've been MIA - been through a rough stretch diet-wise. Lots going on, emotional eating. I had actually gotten back up to 200 a few weeks ago. But since I went back to a loose-Phase 1 (kept in the sweet potatoes because they're just so easy to throw in the oven after work) and this morning I was back to 193.8.

Last Friday we went on a car trip to Washington DC for a Tori Amos concert, had dinner almost at midnight because it was raining so hard on the way there that it took us 6 hours instead of 4, then a drive to Gettysburg PA on Saturday on our way back to NY. Then Sunday had brunch with some friends we haven't seen in ages. The whole weekend was not exactly diet-friendly!
Had a fabulous time at the concert, though. Briefly saw the White House & took pictures but not much else in DC. Seeing Gettysburg was interesting. I put a movie about it on my Blockbuster Queue, because besides the obvious stuff you learn in any American History class, I don't know a lot about what went on there.
Back to reality now! Catching up at work and trying to fend off the munchies.

Did well with phase 1 yesterday. Exercise has been limited to short dog walks because my back's still giving me a lot of trouble. Very frustrating.
Weather here is yucky...and warm! I hate it, when we first moved to the east coast there were actual seasons. Now this is almost like summer part 2. Blah.
Ah well! It's just GOT to cool down sometime!!!

Not too bad, all things considered!! Down a pound from last week. After a ba-a-ad weekend but a good first day of re-doing Phase 1, I can't complain.
Didn't get to try the no-pasta lasagna last night, but we're making it tonight. Ran out of time last night and it got really late so we just had a grilled steak and salad.
I wanted to go to the gym tonight but my back's giving me trouble since I pulled it when I was coughing yesterday.

So today we started a sort-of Phase 1 again. We're not going to follow the Phase 1 menu in the book or anything - but we're going to stick to Phase 1 appropriate foods. We want to clear out some of that vacation sugar that has been coursing through our systems and making us sluggish since we got back. It's amazing the physical change that took place after eating like that. We are so tired and just blah all the time. Noooo energy.
Tonight I think we're going to try the veggie "lasagna" - the one with zuchinni instead of pasta.
On another note - yesterday we tried some Godiva sugar-free dark chocolate. Holy moly was it delish!!
