sigh.. busy day and yet no soup got made. Company and family drama greeted me as I came in from the trip that should of been quick and turned into a 2 hour scavenger hunt looking for the buy 5, save 5 sale. Never again. Nothing big with the family. Car issues that involved picking up their car earlier that never happened. My daughter was also here, so she took over and remedied the situation. :) By the time everyone had cleard out of here, it was time for me to get ready to go to granddaughters piano recital. Just what I needed. She was amazing, as were the others that performed tonight. Better half in bed now, enjoying the sounds of the house as it settles itself in for the night. I just had my dinner/supper. Left overs from last night. Fish good, but not like when it came off the stove yesterday. No plans tomorrow. Hopefully a less hectic day AND I will see the sun at some point tomorrow.

Woke this morning before the crack of dawn. No sun today. Overcast and rainy will make this a long day. BUT going to turn it into a soup making day. I have summer squash begging me to do something with them. So soup will be on the agenda for at least one of them.
As I sat here in the early morning hours, sipping coffee, I looked around the kitchen and decided I need to get my space in shape out there if I am going to continue to make healthy choices. I did some straightening and made a couple of lists of things I need. First up is a trip to the store for staples to start back to healthier cooking. Next week, a trip for an digital food scale. Target, Walmart or Bed Bath and Beyond. Nothing fancy needed, just accurate. Also want to do a little painting out there, but might have to wait until I can get some help with that.

Making healthier choices and working on serving size. I had sherbert this afternoon. Did a stop and think and then had a small cake cone with a scoop on it. One scoop, less than a half of cup on that cone took care of me. This is what I have to do if I want to win this battle.

Back after a wake up call doctor visit. Going to give it my all to get back to making healthy choices.
