Hi...my name is Shawn. I am the wife (of 23 years) and mother of 2 (21 and 17). Our oldest has graduated from college and teaches up north. Our youngest will graduate in May 2013. I live in a small town in south Alabama. I work in the medical field, enjoy reading, gardening, thrift store and antique shopping.

With the exception of about 5 years...I have been overweight all my adult life. About 5 years ago I topped the scales at 254 lbs. I made some serious changes...went on a 1500 calorie diet and started an exercise routine. GO RICHARD SIMMONS...SWEATING TO THE OLDIES! I dropped 75 lbs in 10 months...looked and felt great! I fell off the wagon...went back to my old habits and TA-DA...have now topped the scales at 263 lbs. My heights weight EVER!

My profile pic was snapped while I was eating lunch at a Chick-fil-A. I think it speaks a thousand words....I look, tired, overweight, depressed, stressed, hopeless, sad and unhealthy. I wanted this photo to be my profile pic because I really think it says it all about how I feel about myself.

I look forward to my "Pathtofitness". I am going to enjoy myself on the way to my goal..."A HEALTIER HAPPIER ME". I am glad I stumbled accross fatsecret...I hope to make may friends along the way!!!
