My knees - warning long and rambly
Im not sure of this will help but I'm very overweight and one of my big issues was knee problems. I find I do squats and lunges it will over time help my knee. The key for me was to not go so deep. I did not go "parallel" to the floor. Overtime I made the squat deeper. I also didn't do a bunch of reps. I'm a DVD excerciser so most of my workout have a short number of squats. I would say feel you way through, and deepen squats or whatever leg excercise you're doing. The first few times I was sore after, but the day after that I was better and my knees felt better.
