I have been overweight most of my life, I have been on various diets but have never managed to stay on them.
I am 60, married with 2 grandchildren which I adore.
I want to do this as I have arthritis in my knees and a bad back and I need to do this for my health.
I also suffer from depression and high blood pressure.
I want to be around to see my grandchildren grow up and I would also like to do some travelling with out to many restrictions.
I am doing Low GI as that is more of a lifestyle change and not a diet and I think I could stay with it.

Help
Thank you to all for the advise, I saw a physiotherapist through the Council yesterday and she has given me exercises to do in the pool and told me to do senior strength training and has given me some names of places to go, so I am arranging that now, I will let you all know how I go.

Buddies.
That is good, I am okay as well, Low GI suits me, so far so good, I am starting to lose my cravings.
I am finding I have more energy and feeling like doing things again.
I had a good weekend, saw my daughter and grandson, we had a great time.

Help
Thank you to all who replied to my post, I will take it all on board and do something about it, the swimming and strength exercises to start with, it is great to know there other people out there in the same place as me. Once again thanks for all the help and support.
