I am 25 and have a two year old son. I gained a bit of weight during my pregnancy and even some in the year after giving birth from eating poorly and being a couch potato. I recently got a gym membership and have been going 4 to 5 times a week. I usually do the elliptical machine for 30 minutes and then a few of the weight machines. I am also carefully watching what I eat. I took a few nutrition courses in college so I know how to eat healthy without depriving myself. I started out at 180 lbs, and my goal is to get down to 130 lbs. I don't believe in diets because people don't realize that you wont be able to stay on them your whole life and it is likely you will gain the weight back when you tire of it. I believe in re-training yourself to live a healthy lifestyle with plenty of exercise and healthy food. So far- I have felt great- had more energy- and am already feeling better about my self image. I am more than half way to my goal and loving it!
