I am 42 years old and live in North Texas with my 3 beautiful daughters, my boyfriend and his son. I have steadily gained weight since I was in college and with each baby I have kept 10-15 pounds on. I have had high blood pressure for one year and take medication daily for it. I have not yo-yo dieted but instead I have used portion control successfully in the past only to gain the weight back when life gets more stressful than usual and I start to emotional eat more. Ofcourse with age even the portion control does not help me drop the weight as rapidly as I used to. I am ready for a permanent change to this vicious cycle that I am in and looking for encouragement, as well as to encourage someone else.
