I'm 29, married with 2 kids, and I live in Kansas. I work full-time as a Nursing Staff Coordinator in a nursing home. I recently enrolled in college again to further my career.

I'm looking to lose a total of 70 lbs but I know it's going to be a LONG road, I've started down this road many times & I've always either given up or found an excuse as to why I couldn't continue. Lots of things have changed in my personal life lately & I want this to be one as well so I decided to get serious & join a community that might be able to motivate me along.

Chalk me up as one of the people that LOVE the app. That's how I found this website. I don't know what I'd do without my barcode scanner & I've only came across a few items that didn't show up with it. This is definitely what has me sticking to my weight loss this time!!! Smile

I've had herniated disk issues as well & the stretching exercises with walking is really what was best for me. Good luck with your surgery!

Any new exercise ideas?
So, I'm new to this community, but I've been reading tons of posts and you all seem so inspiring and motivating towards each other! I use the Calorie Counter app on my phone and that's how I found this site.

I've lost 10 lbs, but have a lot more to go and exercise is my BIGGEST struggle. Any tips or ideas for new things to try. I walk a couple times a week & starting Tuesday I'm going to go with my friend to a "Yogilates" class either once or twice a week. I'm nervous about that because I hate working out around others, lol.

Anyways, mostly I just wanted to say hi to everyone and let you know that I have loved reading all of your posts & look forward to getting to know all of you much better!!! Smile
