I absolutely LOVE the SCAN part of this application! Don't have to enter all the info if it is not found in the food data base... just scan the bar on the product and post it to your menu! Life is Good! LOL Laughing

It's called Calorie Counter by Fatsecret. Great app btw and I must agree that the scan barcode is the best (or most fun) feature!

I believe they are talking about the Motorola Droid, I have it also. If the food doesn't exist in the database it won't automatically input, but many items are in the database and work with a scan!

I actually use the G1, it's features are pretty good and I have only one complaint about it so far. Unfortunately apps don't save to the SD card so the amount of apps you have on your phone is kind of limited. Other than that, it's a great device!

I love the app too! I just found out about it yesterday and it's so much easier logging my food in. I just get out what I'm going to eat and scan away. Smile

I found the Calorie Counter app before I knew about this website. Instead of putting everything in manually, I just scan everything I'm eating....it makes it SO much easier! I use it every day.

I have a Sprint HTC Hero with Droid. I downloaded the App weeks before I joined the site. The next day I read about it in one of the forums, and, DOH, I already have it. It is nice for the scanner, or when away from a computer. It has been helpful and synchronizes rather easy.

if you have a phone that runs the Android software, you can get it in your market place by searching Calorie counter or Fatsecret

If you have an iPhone, you can find it in the app store by the same search.

I have a Droid Eris and I can save my apps to my SD

I had the app on the g1 before I knew about the site too. I love this program even more now that I've joined the site.

It only seems to recognize about a quarter of what I try to scan. But when it does work I love it! So convenient!
