I am 39 years old and a mother of two, 7 and 5. I came to the States 20 years ago and live with my family in San Francisco. I was very slim during at my teens and up till about 23 at around 100 lbs and I am 5'3". Since then, I started to gain weight steadily, by the time my wedding at age of 30, I was 120 lbs. I was up to 137 in May of 2009 when I finish my BA degree while working full time and take care of two kids, three if you count my husband. All the late night studies, munching on snacks late at night make my weight totally out of control. Now that I am done with schooling, I started the weight lost journey on Mother’s day to lost weight by the time I turn 40 (next Feb). My ultimate goal is to get to about 110 lbs. My husband said he will give me an early birthday gift (on his birthday in November instead of mine in February) if I can reach the goal he set for me (which is 113, no reason but he likes the number). I am looking forward to that. It better be a real surprise.
