Veteran, single mom to 2 beautiful kids. Have a wonderful new job which relocated me recently to New Hampshire.
Job is very very sedentary, & have gained 40lbs in 4 years. Recently found out that I have 5 herniated discs and am in constant pain. Need/ want / will do something to help myself. Weighed in with Dr at 235- goal is to reach 170. I understand and accept that this is a process, one which is going to take time, patience, determination, will, strength, will power, support, education & changing my lifestyle & eating habits. Ashamed of what I have become, looking forward to seeing me again & living life again. Hard thing to see yourself everyday looking like this.. but it won't be for long.
I don't have any family around me, so I am my only support right now, and so that is why I joined this forum. I am also seeing a registered dietician. Looking forward to supporting others, tracking my progress, learning from others and encouraging them as well.
