Well I got off my butt and went running for the first time in over 2 years. Not far, and not fast but I did it...twice so far this week. Per GPS Tues. night I went 1.4 miles Thurs morning went 1.42, and at a little bit faster pace. I was surprised I didn't need to stop or walk at all. My thighs are sure sore, but it is a good sore ;) I also did 12 push ups at work today (in my office) using the perfect pushup handles. I am in the game now.

Went on a good hike through the Laguna Hills yesterday with my friend Bill. He hikes in this area frequently. We were going to hike at Crystal Cove Park, that extends from the bluffs into the hills. It was to be a 7 mile hike, but the park was closed due to recent weather damage. We found another hiking area. We did 3.5 miles in 55 minutes. It was a nice workout.
Edited for addendum: Friday 02/12/10, I did treadmill, 12 mins on Bruce Protocol. I also did 12 push-ups using the "Perfect Push-up" handles. I like the way they feel. Planned on getting in another set, but got busy. The logistics of the morning run, are coming together. As I refine my morning routine, the increase in available time should, at least for a while correspond with increases in intensity/time. That way I shouldn't have to get up too much earlier for a while. At least until it is not so dark when I get up.
Sunday was mostly shopping for groceries, making breakfast (late) for the family, a bit of housework, a lot of desk time, and lounging around. I was a bit of a slug today, I should have done more.

Signed up for the an office challenge % lost each month x 3 months. In for $20 cash, and so much more. I also have a personal challenge of 50 lbs by 50 years old That gives me just 7 months, but it is doable!
