Another great day outside today. A bit cooler but still good running weather. Did 3.5km easily.
So, today is Pancake Tuesday. I know we have plans to have pancakes for supper today. And I know my son is looking forward to them too! I'll just have to eat lots of fruit with mind and lean sausage.

Wow the weather is fantastic today 7C and hardly any wind! It made for great running conditions. I did an extra kilometre today and if I didn't have to come back to work, I would have stay out and did more! The only thing was my phone quit tracking at the 2.7 kilometre mark and I know I did roughly 4.5km. Oh well!
My son's 6th birthday party went great. The kids had an amazing time and everyone was happy. The cake was massive. A friend from work made the cake and designed a john deere tractor on it as my son is so into john deere! We still have half a cake left. So I took the rest over to my parents and put it in their freezer for next weekend when we celebrate my son's birthday with my side of the family!

Today is my son's 6th birthday! Where did the time go!! We are having a party for him on Sunday at a play place. Keeping it tame with cake and snacks. Kids never want to eat at these places, they just want to run! Afterwards, my in-laws are coming over. We'll celebrate his birthday with my family the following Sunday. I think I'll take my son out to McDonalds tonight.
Trying to keep things in moderation is my goal for the birthday celebrations. I got out for a run 4 days this week (including today) and went skating last night.

Oh, I so don't want to weigh in! Even though I should and face the number. The fact of the matter is that I weigh myself every morning with Fridays being the official weigh in. But, the last few weeks the number was not what I wanted it to be and therefore I just did record here. I keep wondering why the number is going up. But I know why but chose to look the other way. It's my portion sizes. They have gotten bigger. I need to be true to myself. Plus I do need to do some core exercises. Just running/jogging is not enough and I do need to challenge my other muscle groups.
Well that felt better to get this out of my head!!
