Well I guess the excess carbs have caught up with me. Normally I weigh myself every morning and whatever the weight is on Friday mornings is what I use as my weigh in. All week I've been in the 175 - 176 range. This morning, it's way up there. Well, just gotta crack down on my WOE.

Yesterday, I met up with my hubby and son and went ice skating for 45 minutes after work. It was good. And I didn't fall down! My son is getting better too but won't let go of the skating aids. My hubby use to play hockey, so skating is super easy for him. I remember taking lessons for one season as a kid so that's all I have. Last year I switched to hockey skates from figure skates so I have to remember that I have no ice picks! Last week we went skating and I forgot and went down hard!

Last night I sent 2 hours on the computer trying to find a site that I could get a free tractor birthday invitation template. No luck! There's always a catch or a charge of some kind. Boo! It's my son's 6th birthday at the beginning of February, so I need to get something done soon. Plus I need a super quick Sunday School craft for 3-5 year olds for this Sunday. The topic is Jesus choses His Helpers. So, I will hopefully find something today for that!

Tomorrow I'm off with my dad to get some cull carrots for his cows. He bought a landscape truck back in December that is automatic and so I can drive it for him. He use to drive a big truck all the time with air brakes but had to let the licence go back in June. It is a huge undertaking to get an air brake licence and would have cost over $2000 for either me or my hubby to get it if my dad had to decided to keep the truck. And for the number of cattle my dad can manage these days, it didn't make sense. My dad is turning 83 next Thursday. And when he let the air brake licence go, the ministry of transportation made he go through the licencing process again instead of just giving him a general licence. So, it's been a rough go for my dad and maybe it's for the best that he doesn't have a licence to drive any more. He keeps go for the driving test but ends up not passing because of his big truck driving habits. He's always had big mirrors and never had to check his blind spots. Oh well, I just grateful that I can drive for him and he is still trying to stay active by farming with a dozen cows. Spring will be here before you know it and then my dad will be busy driving tractor again with my son!

Anyway, that's all I have for now. Have a good weekend buddies!

Happy New Year everyone! Well, back to work after being off for 2 weeks! What a great time off. We accomplished a few things over the holidays. The big one was that we purged our house and managed to get rid of some things. It feels good to go in a closet and see empty space. Our church is having a yard sale/auction to raise money for the youth retreat, so we unloaded some things there and all of my son's out grown clothes went to a friend's that have 2 young boys.

I haven't stepped on the scale for a week but I need to check things out. I did get out one day for a run and managed 4.6k. I was sore the next day! I admit that I indulged over the holidays. I discovered brie and bacon marmalade. Very yummy together with a nice red wine.

So, today it is very frigid here. But the plan is get back at it and go for a run at lunch, just a short one and stretch! My DH got me this awesome technical sweater/jacket that is rated for -40 C (-40F)for Christmas. So it should be great for today as it is -13F today!
