9 weeks to summer challenge
Inviting everyone who needs to lose at least 9 kgs to join me in my challenge - 9 weeks to summer. We will start on Monday 29th March and end Monday 31st May - 9 weeks exactly.

I am doing a calorie counting diet, with a daily deficit of 1,000 calories, but you are welcome to follow any diet you choose to lose 9kgs in 9 weeks, which will take us to the beginning of June. Summer in the Northern hemisphere, so shorts, tees and cozzies. Winter in the Southern Hemisphere, so slinky slim jeans and body hugging puffer jackets.

I have lost 2.2kgs from when I started this week. Assuming water loss in the first day and then about 150 to 200 grams every day so far. I am 20 kgs overweight, so will probably lose faster in the first weeks. I am breaking down the weight loss to 2 lots of 10 kgs, instead of getting overwhelmed by a monster 20kg target.

My RDI is 2,000 kcals so I am going for daily exercise to burn 300 kcals, and following a 1,300 kcals diet to maintain a deficit of 1,000 kcals per day.

I weigh daily so that I can assess the science of this on my body. I am recording every bite, and all exercise on the app.
