Not a big drop, but I'm actually pretty proud of this one. This week was a rough week for diet what with Valentine's Day and the accompanying dessert and chocolates. I did my best to keep it in moderation, but I was worried those small indulgences would negate any loss this week, and I'm thrilled to see it didn't.
While it was nice to eat leftover dessert for 3 days and give myself a break from the regimented eating, it's time to get back to it. Looking for a big drop next week!

While not completely awful, this hasn't exactly been a good week for my diet, and I can tell. I feel bloated, sluggish, and like I'm retaining water. This shouldn't be a surprise to me. In the past when I've been eating clean for a while and then eat like crap, I always feel like crap afterward. And the food that sounded so good doesn't taste remotely as good as I think it will.
I think the problem this week is that I've had a lot of unexpected things pop up that threw me off my routine. I know that I have to plan my meals in advance, and that I have to stick to the plan. If I don't, I make bad choices when I'm hungry. So going forward, I think I have to have a backup plan for those days when a friend needs help with something or mom's furnace goes out, and I don't have time to prepare the meal I was going to.
How do you handle those kinds of days? What's your go-to fallback when you don't have your meal with you and are getting hangry?

I'm probably going to regret opening up this can of worms, but something needs to be said here.
I've seen a lot of political posts on this forum. Most are good-natured discussion among buddies and are fun to observe. But some people seem intent on broadcasting their political ideologies and activism and are taking things a little too far.
Don't bring your angst and your hate here. Members of FatSecret are struggling. They're struggling to take control of their lives by taking control of their weight, their eating, their exercise, and so much more. This is an incredibly difficult thing, so we've come here to hopefully find a community who will up-lift us in that effort.
This is supposed to be a place where we are all working toward common goals - health, fitness, happiness, etc. Political posts create rifts in the community, and are further isolating those people who most need it and can't get it elsewhere.
Asking people to ignore divisive posts that they don't like on Facebook is one thing. There a person has the option to unfollow, unfriend, or outright block someone. But asking that here is the same as asking them to ignore someone making fun of fat people. Not only does that not belong here, it's directly detrimental to the purpose of this site and users have fewer options to elect to not see it.
If you want to journal about this stuff you still can. Just be a decent person and make it private. We all have things we need to get off our chest, but we don't stand on our front porch and scream about how awful one of our neighbors is to the whole neighborhood.
So please, think before you rant. Think of the comfort of others and make it private, and if the comfort of others doesn't matter to you, then your post definitely doesn't belong on this forum.

Pretty great day! Starting to hit my stride in the gym and feel like I can actually do the exercises correctly. The lady at the grocery store carded me for a lottery ticket even though I'm turning 40 soon. And then I got to come home and see a nice result on the scale. I don't get many days like this, so I'll take it!
