Tomorrow is weigh-in, and I'm dreading it. While I didn't do fantastic on the diet, I've had at least a 500 calorie deficit every day. And I hit my goal of 5 days at the gym. I know it's not going to be a dramatic loss, but more than a pound would be nice!

Even though it was only a pound, I had a good first week getting back to it. My diet was clean every day except for my free day, and even on my free day I stuck mostly to my diet and practiced moderation with the treats I allowed myself.
So why only a pound? I think it's because I hit the gym 5 days this week, for 90 minutes each time. I had a lot of muscle atrophy, and I can feel that I have more muscle today than I did last week. I'm hopeful that I actually lost more fat than that pound, but gained some muscle, and I'm looking forward to once my muscle is sufficiently rebuilt seeing that fat melt off on the scale.

So, I haven't logged for quite a few days. Some days were really good. Others were not.
J. and I got into our first big fight on Friday. We've been together 5 years, and we've fought before, but this was the first one that had us both scared that we had found that fundamental difference that would be the end of our relationship.
As with most couple troubles, it ended up being a ridiculous miscommunication that caused the whole thing, and once we figured that out last night, it was pretty quickly resolved.
Diet wise, the whole weekend was a blurry montage of depressed binging. Although, I am proud that I got all my cardio in and burned a lot of extra calories cleaning my house. (I clean when I'm angry.)
Hopefully it wasn't too bad of a setback, but I've decided to skip weigh in today and give it another week. I've already had my fill of finding faults in myself for the week, and I don't feel the need to add another one. Instead, I'm going to focus on the positive and on what makes me feel good.
Tonight is rumba lessons, and tomorrow will be a fresh start on my logging.
