Down another 0.6 lbs over the last 5 days. That's 0.6 lbs less I have to drag with me 13.1 miles in T-minus 27 days, Folks! I think I've reached the point where I look in the mirror and see a slim person looking back at me. It's a strange and unfamiliar feeling, but I'm sure I'll get used to it!

Half-marathon training is going splendidly! I finished my milage for the weekend and today is a rest day from running, so I might do a little yoga for some "active recovery", but that's about it for exercise for me today. Yesterday's 8-mile run was really hot, (it was about 80F and very high humidity!) so my pace was about 20 seconds slower than last week's run. I'll take it. Can't expect every run to be a personal record, after all. I'm really excited about running the race! It's going to be a great day! I think I might go out this week and buy some new clothes for the race because I'm practically swimming in my current exercise wardrobe. Going from a size 2X 20/22 to a Medium 6/8 makes finding something to wear a challenge.

I also met up with the Sig-O's sister for her birthday this weekend and she didn't even know who I was even though we had met several times before. Most people don't even recognize me if they haven't seen me in the last few months, so I suppose my transformation has been pretty successful!

Grab this week by the horns, Everyone! Make it extraordinary!
Ciao for now!

I have some fun stuff planned for this weekend, Folks! Today is grocery shopping and meal planning/prepping (that's not the exciting part, I assure you.) and then tomorrow I'm going to see "Fed Up" at a local film festival. That's the Katie Couric movie about a bunch of wretched a-holes who run the food/pharmaceutical industry and deliberately make people fat, sick and addicted to their poisons. It's a feel-good movie! *sarcasm*

Then, I have a photoshoot this weekend to take promo shots for my health coaching business/documentary trailer! How fun! It's basically just going to be a bunch of shots and video footage of me running and jumping around like a wild woman like I usually do! They will be in STARK contrast to some of the video footage I have of me, at over 200 lbs, standing over the kitchen sink in a moo-moo, stuffing an entire butter-drenched lobster claw in my mouth with my bare hands. I think the two sets of images will definitely illustrate my point!

Speaking of making great strides, (hehehe... running pun!) I'm getting nervous about the half-marathon! It's only 4 weekends away! I turn the big 4-OH four weeks from today and the race is two days after that! T-minus 30 days, Folks. I'm shaking in my running shoes! I also have to squeeze in two half-marathon training runs this weekend (4 miles on Saturday and 8 on Sunday) so hopefully, there will be time for everything! Hence, the food planning/prepping today.

I simply must get a move on if I'm going to get things crossed off my to-do list!

Ciao for now, my friends! :)

For some reason, I did not want to stop bouncing on my rebounder this morning! Man, I LOVE that thing! I put on some Mackelmore ("Thrift Shop" is OUTSTANDING for rebounding, I might add!) and bounced my little heart out! I actually had to MAKE myself stop bouncing and start my to-do list, which involves a training run today (6 miles incl. 4 x 1:30 Aerobic Intervals + 6 Gentle Pickups). I find it amusing that my shortest run of the week used to be longer than the longest run of my week! Six months ago, running 6 miles sounded like something only others could do and now I'm running about 30 miles a week!

The rest of the day's agenda looks pretty boring, Folks. Studying, studying and more studying. (And maybe a few 4-minute dance/bouncing parties for study breaks!) This anatomy and physiology material sure is tedious stuff. I somehow managed to escape taking that class as an undergraduate cell biology major, and now it's coming back to kick me in the boot-ay!

Oh well, less whining and more studying. Have a fabulous day, Everyone!

0.7 lbs down in the last 5 days. Not too shabby! I'm really glad I'm not struggling with those last few pounds. They're falling off just as quickly and easily as the previous 70! As of today, I have officially lost 1/3 of my original body weight! And speaking of my original body weight, I was looking through some photos, and found one of me at my neighbor's wedding last summer, at about my highest weight, sitting in a lounge chair and looking really enormous and miserable. It'll make a great "before" picture and I'll be sure to post it soon.

Today is a rest day from running, but I think I might do some yoga this afternoon and make it an "active recovery" day. But other than that, there's not much else to report, my dear readers. Same ol', same ol', I'm afraid. Studying, studying, an episode of BoJack Horseman here and there (I'm only slightly obsessed with that show!) and then some more studying!

Speaking of studying, I better hit the books, Folks!
Happy Hump Day!
