Sweeet2th's Journal, 18 September 2014

For some reason, I did not want to stop bouncing on my rebounder this morning! Man, I LOVE that thing! I put on some Mackelmore ("Thrift Shop" is OUTSTANDING for rebounding, I might add!) and bounced my little heart out! I actually had to MAKE myself stop bouncing and start my to-do list, which involves a training run today (6 miles incl. 4 x 1:30 Aerobic Intervals + 6 Gentle Pickups). I find it amusing that my shortest run of the week used to be longer than the longest run of my week! Six months ago, running 6 miles sounded like something only others could do and now I'm running about 30 miles a week!

The rest of the day's agenda looks pretty boring, Folks. Studying, studying and more studying. (And maybe a few 4-minute dance/bouncing parties for study breaks!) This anatomy and physiology material sure is tedious stuff. I somehow managed to escape taking that class as an undergraduate cell biology major, and now it's coming back to kick me in the boot-ay!

Oh well, less whining and more studying. Have a fabulous day, Everyone!

You really are motivating me to get my butt back running...I'm alllllmost there lol....I am, however, buying a spinning indoor bike after work tomorrow, exciting!

How strange. I wrote a reply and it didn't post. Oh well, let's see if I can remember what I wrote... "Ooooooh! A spin bike! I see the really good commercial ones from time to time used on Craigslist for about $100, and I'm always tempted to pick up one. I have a recumbent bike in the basement next to the treadmill, but it's just not the same as getting up out of the saddle and peddling like a maniac on a spin bike! I'm a little jelly of your soon-to-be bike." Ok, there. That's close to what I wrote last time (minus the useage of the word "jelly", but I felt my previous attempt at a reply lacked pizzazz!!)

It's a steal, ridden twice for $150, plus it comes with a squishy seat...one of those nice Schwinn's, Johnny G Pro something like that...I thought the same about the recumbents, I needed something that would motivate me to "get up and go"...I've always wanted to do a spin class, for $150 why not??? :)

Oooooh yeaaaah!! Those are the good ones! I'm REALLY jelly now! I've never done a spin class either. I hear SoulCycle is like a religious experience, it's so good. But at $30 a pop for ONE class?!?! Forget it.

Yeah, exactly...I'm so awful at attending classes too...it'd be a waste if I signed up....

I thought I might do a drop-in SoulCycle class the next time I go to NYC (I'm there about 2-3 times a year, or so) to see what all the hype is about. The first class is only $20, and I'm sure the Sig-O would be more than willing to go eat copious amounts of NY pizza without me while I spin my heart out!

I love that you're living my goals right now. Week4 Day2 completed on my 5k training plan, which means I can run a whole 5 minutes long, LOL. I'm excited for the future when running miles instead of minutes is my daily goal.

OMG! 5 minutes! That's awesome! I remember when I couldn't even jog for 5 minutes (which was less than a year ago!). You're totally doing it! Yay!! *Happy Dance For Jenalena!*
