I am 52 YO female living in TN. I am married and have 4 children - 3 boys and a girl- all grown up. Growing up, I was thin and never even thought about my weight or dieting, etc. Over the years - the pounds have crept up and I am 20 pounds over my ideal weight! YUK!

I have developed terrible eating habiits over the years and am now attempting to correct that!

Other than that, I enjoy swimming, reading, knitting, beading, meditation. My husband and I have a pontoon boat and love to relax on the water!

I am so glad I found this site - it is perfect for tracking and journaling, etc.
I would love to meet others on the same journey!!

I am just starting this diet today also - I have 20-25 lbs to lose and have started and stopped so many times!!!

Any pointers about this diet - it just seems to make sense.

im leaving atkins...
I too am changing diets today. I feel like I have been eating way too much fat on Atkins and I really don't feel very well about it. I am going to try to eat more natural foods (veggies, fruit, fish, etc) and watch my fat and calories. Wish me luck!!
