Anyone having troubles passing a BM?
As far as reducing intake and not eliminating as often yes it can happen. But even people on reduced cal diets will go daily. There are several problems that cause not going. stools too soft > require fiber. stools too hard> require fluid or oils such as flax to move along. But this can also be a sign of hypothyroidism. Eating too much soy (30mg day for month) will drop a person into hypothyroid state. Not enough motion in the intestinal walls> stimulant herbs such as senna or rhubabrb can help that. Rhurbarb and citrus peel in hot water gets things moving within 20 min to an hour. Make it just like tea. and it actually doesn't taste that bad. Senna is a good short term laxative only as body builds a resistance to it. I specialize in digestive disorders. These are a few of the easy examples of what can cause delayed BM
