Difference between skating and rollerblading?
I've done derby, fun huh! I'd go with the higher burn estimate, but be mindful of down time. Bouting will burn a ton of calories, but there is a lot of wait time between drills and bouts to subtract out. Start and stop.

Room to make mistakes
Hubby and I discussed this. When I miss one workout I say "I'm off my plan" and I view it as failing. He says everyone misses a few and if you get right back to it you were never " off the plan." I'm trying to define success more broadly and to be less all or nothing about diet and exercise.

Wii Fit
I've used both the Wii Fit and the Kinect and prefer the latter. They are both fun, but the kinect has more options, more fun games, and is less "cutesy" and more grown up.
