Whoa- I am pretty sure it's the Nicoderm patch but I think this diet contributed. WACKY ZANY VIVID WEIRD DREAMS! I typically don't remember my dreams, so this was weird- anyone else have bizarre dreams after changing their diet?
I am at my friend Nicole (mom of two little boys- she's one of my "grown-up friends"). In the dream, it is a glamorous penthouse apartment and aquarium for exotic fish. Schooly D is also there (I actually know his wife). Nicole serves me and my friend Michael a HUGE hamburger covered in yellow cheese, and cheese fries with gravy and I gluttonously eat the whole thing. Then she hires me as her butler, but my tuxedo rips and I have to mend it myself in a women's bathroom stall while a woman with a baby stroller is trying to get in.
Funny thing is I woke up feeling so full, I had to force down breakfast. Now that I think of it, the fullness might also have something to do with the cleanse I am doing (without going into too much or ANY detail).
Yesterday went well- new diet and not smoking. Today, we add exercise. Since I am too poor for a gym and don't have the space for weights (nor can I travel with them), I bought a high level resistance band, did some research, and re-tooled the Abs Diet workout so I can use the band instead of weights. I am about to go try it out, but I think the substitutions will be spot-on. I may find I need to up the reps because the band is less intense that the weights that I was lifting when I was rich and skinny and had a gym membership.
The six meals a day thing is kind of tough- following the book, it is so much food. I think I might scale down my portions a teensy bit. I don't want to go too far below my RDI, but I am worried I'll start skipping the snacks and go back to larger meals... something to keep an eye on.
Enjoyed my walk yesterday except that I ended up having to pee- like really bad, and had to stop at a Dunkin Donuts. I hate using a restroom without buying something, so I got a small iced coffee.
If any one is reading this, I am having a Muppet-y day, and challenge you to channel your inner Muppet.
POST WORKOUT:
Enjoying a whey protein smoothie. Band work out circuit training was great HOWEVER if you do this, make sure you have a secure band and a solid door in which to secure it. I have two HUGE welts on my chest from when the door opened and the friggen' elastic snapped me in the man-boobs. Even if I CAN take my shirt off at the beach this summer, it ain't gonna be pretty if i've got massive scars from my workout... but all in all I feel awesome.

it's a big little day. got the patch on my arm, did my grocery shopping, and am dusting off my walking shoes! This is day one of healthy, possibly sexy me?
my dad, who also struggles with his weight, has always been a fan of these weird motivational business books about 'actualizing' and 'living world class'. I found one focused on weight loss and cracked into it last night... wowza. it was like the Glenn Beck Fox News Version of weight loss motivation, but i found myself agreeing with some of it. it separates the world into fit people and fat people and each page was a comparison. so wacky.
i am sitting at the breakfast table enjoying the wonders of the smoothie. it's great, but cleaning up is a pain in the neck (pain in the neck fat, really).
onward, downward, HOOO-oooh!

ug, impromptu invite to a party with my parents friends- at okay at the party, but got HAMMERED on vodka cranberries, then went out with my sister and got more hammered. apparently i came home and made a whole package of breakfast sausage and two eggs. unnecessary 2am meal, much?
taking it WAY easy today. tomorrow is my official Abs Diet start day (also quit smoking day- so ready for that). my plan to ease into it with a few days of healthy choices did not pan out. I HAVE to do better or I will have man-boobs and neck fat for life.

Doh! Had an off Fri/Sat- met up with an old friend for (delicious) pizza, wine and video games, then a nice omelet for breakfast- didn't want to be ungrateful... and yum.
BUT i'll just make up for it with a super rest of the day and a great great responsible day tomorrow...
