3500 calories = 1 lb fat
Sorry my bad I did not mean turns into fat, but I am turning what used to be fat into muscle. I have been very pleased with counting calories. I am 5'9 so I do not want to get too thin. I think approx 145-147 will be a good weight.

3500 calories = 1 lb fat
Okay so I am in an antonomy class and my teacher is a nutritionist. Since I have started his class I have lost a little over 30 lbs. I started out on Atkins for 3 weeks and lost 12 lbs. Now I am just calorie counting and working out. I started in mid June so in 3 months I have lost 30 lbs. I weighed in at 180. Now I am anywhere from 149- 153. My teacher told me that if you find out your caloric intake, mine is 1800/ day and eat under your claoric intake for every 3500 calories you do not eat you will lose 1 lb of fat. So I eat approx 1200 calories a day so in 1 week I should have lost another lb. But I am also working out so I know some fat is turning into muscle. I do work out 5 days a week and pretty hard.
