I'm a married, mother of 5 kids. The oldest is 8 and the youngest is 2. I've had serious weight issues in the past and have gotten to the point where I'm just too tired to function day to day with young one's running around. I started to get serious a few times before but got lazy and gave up. It hit me real hard when my husband tried to buy me some new clothes to fit my 255 pound 5'4" frame and I still looked pregnant in everything I tried on. I've lost 53 pounds since May 28th. I feel good but want to feel great!
When I met my husband I was 140 pounds. So that is my goal. I'll be 30 next year and want to start it off feeling like I did when I met him.
I have some of the clothes packed away from that time and really want to get back in them again. I felt like a million bucks back then which was only 7 years ago. And when you're on a diet... it feels like a lifetime away from that goal.
I know I can do it!

If anyone wants to know more... let's spark up a conversation. I need the encouragement of others like me. Too tired and fed up with the tonage hiding the beauty queen beneath it.

calorie counter
Thanks for the feed back everyone. It's not easy sometimes to find the best device for the activities I do. I guess I'll have to check out what my doctor recommends also. My weightloss is really very important to me and my whole family. I've been so overweight for far too long and in the process gotten myself close to meeting the Big Man upstairs. I have taken my diet really seriously and I do appologize if I may have come off rude to anyone. This is a battle I intend to win. Not ready to give up yet.

Love to all my fellow dieters!

The bike I use has no gears and no fancy anything. It's even got pedal brakes... haha! So I really have to gun it up those hills!

calorie counter
I'm not sure what system to believe. I'm so frustrated right now. Uhg!

However... you do weigh less than I do too. Weight has to entered in also.

Where you are now in your weight is where I'm aiming long term.

calorie counter
I woke up this morning and went for a very long bike ride. I have a traveling meter that I take with me. When finished with the course, it tells you distance and time and calories burned. It uses gps tracking to show you a mapped out course taken.
I went 9.11 miles in 55 minutes. Kinda slow compared to some who bike regularly but this was really good for me. Along with that 9 miles I burned a total of 1500 calories... a little more actually but that was what I quickly remembered.
I entered the data into my calorie counter and it seriously short changed me. So I tried a few options to get the calories up to where I did actually burn. Unfortunately it will cut off my hours in the day.
I also went for a mile walk using the meter to track total distance and the calorie counter on fatsecret short changed me again. So like the biking I finangled some things to get the calories to where it showed.

Is there any way to fix the calorie counter so that people can enter exact times and distances for a more accurate calorie count? Just wondering. I love the calorie counter but I wish it was a little more accurate with the calories burned.

curious? need to know
Well it was grilled chicken on the salad and there was dressing packets given but not used. I chose the dry option instead of drowning it in dressing.
Yes it is a great lesson learned. Didn't eat much the rest of the day though. I wasn't feeling well. However... I more than made up for it today. Had too much fat intake and feel very bloated. Hope the water binge I plan to have will flush it out! It wasn't a huge amount of food but was very unhealthy. Loved the rice cakes though. Gonna buy some for home. (Went to a church picnic).

Thank you everyone for the insight and help. Love to all my fellow dieters! Smile
