I really began this journey in May/June 2010 -- in an effort to change the name of the diet I was following, I screwed up my weight history, lol. If you check out my complete weight history, you'll understand...just ignore the huge spike in the middle of it, lol.

I've been overweight as long as I can remember -- I don't think i've ever had a "skinny" period in my entire life. Maybe when I was 2, but that doesn't count, lol.

My weight has always been a struggle. I've been up and down on this weight rollercoaster for far too long and i'm ready to get off. I'm tired of letting my weight define who I am and what I can or cannot do. I am so ready to break free! And all I can say is that I think i've finally gotten to the point where i'm FINALLY doing this weight loss for the Lord and for myself. There's something different about it. I'm actually looking forward to going to the gym, because I know that it's helping me reach my goals! I'm feeling better about myself - and not just my appearance, but who I am as a person. It's also so liberating to know that i'm working on making my body what God created it to be - healthy and strong!

I have a long way to go, but I know i'm going to get there. With the help and support of my friends - and leaning on the Lord. I can do anything!! I haven't put in my final goal weight on here as my goal, because right now, it seems impossible to reach. So my goals that I post here will be small ones - and once I reach them, i'll make new ones. Little by little, I WILL get to where I need to be!

Short Term Goals (That i've set so far, may be adjusted as needed):
Lose 35 lbs by September 2010: 261 = {I was sooo close!!! Met on 9/25/10}
Lose 50 lbs by Thanksgiving 2010: 246 {Began 9/25/10 - Met on 12/4/10, not too far past my goal}
Lose 75 lbs by March 2012: 221 {Began 12/26/11}
Lose 100 lbs by December 2012: 196

Fatsecret Issues
Oh I'm so frustrated!! I just screwed up my fatsecret Razz I was trying to change my diet's name and ended up messing up my weigh in number AND my weight history. Does anyone know if there's a way to fix it? I just wanted to change the name of my diet, and it ended up starting a new one. Argh!

Why doesn't my face look thinner?
Thanks everyone! As far as it looking like i've lost more than 40lbs...this is only a front view, lol. But thanks - I feel good! And I know I shouldn't let other people's comments bother me, and honestly, it's not that it really bothered me all that much - I was just curious if anyone else had a double chin that wouldn't let go! Smile I know mine will eventually, but I just thought it'd be gone quicker. But you're all right about how everyone loses weight in places at different times. I just pray my girls don't lose too much, cause they're small enough already!! LOL Smile

Why doesn't my face look thinner?
I know compared to my before picture, my face does look thinner...but i've had people comment that they're surprised that my face doesn't look thinner than what it is, considering how much weight i've lost so far. Has anyone else had the same thing happen to them? I'm worried i'm going to have this double chin forever!!! Sad

Oh definitely. Don't let it get to you! It's completely normal Smile Stay on track and once you're done - things should go back to normal!
