Oh, jeez. Just went over my RDI because I had the night munchies. :(

Wow! That heart rate monitor made a huge difference. I feel better about knowing EXACTLY what I'm burning. I'm really, really glad I got that.
Anyone out there in FatSecret land that's on the fence about getting a heart rate monitor--my vote is yes.

Even though my workout got cut short today, it was well worth it. My sister gave me a ride to Walmart and I got a heart rate monitor! I'm really happy that I'll know exactly how many calories I'm burning throughout the day and, more importantly, during my workouts.
I got a taste of the "real world" today when my sister arrived earlier than I thought she would. You see, I have very few days that are scheduled with classes, so I have a LOT of free time. That's part of the reason I started going to the gym: it was something to do.
I hope it's not too much harder to run everyday when I live with Chris. Fingers crossed.

I am extremely proud of myself today.
I didn't get very much sleep last night, and I had class early this morning. When it got to be 7 am, I looked out my window and it was almost like a hurricane was passing through outside. Lots of rain and wind, thunder and lightning. I was very, very close to skipping class and staying in today.
I got my butt up, though. Put on my running pants, shoes, a t-shirt, grabbed an umbrella and everything I needed for class, and out the door I went. I stayed for both classes and then ran 4 miles at the gym.
I'm happy I went.

I was talking to my roommate today and I actually caught myself saying, "When I'm skinny..." I was so shocked at myself. Normally when I talk about how I would dress or act if I wasn't so heavy, I say "if."
"If I was skinny, I'd blahblahblah..."
The fact that I said "when" instead of "if" makes me feel great. My mindset has changed, and that's the biggest obstacle, in my opinion.
What a great way to start of this week.
