Today's run was spectacular, truly. I went for an hour and I did intervals between 3.5 mph and 6 mph. I managed to get my average pace down to 14'03"! I've been at 20'00" and 17'00" for most of my runs so far. Goodness, I was so proud of myself for going at 6 mph as often and for a long as I did throughout the entire workout. I'm really starting to feel stronger and really noticing that my endurance is increasing. It's liberating and exciting.

I think a lot of my drive when I was working out today came from The Biggest Loser. I watch it on my phone when I'm running, thanks to Hulu Plus. I get a lot of inspiration from those contestants and everything the trainers say. I know I've talked about this before in a journal, but... I guess it's important enough to mention twice.

I took my heart rate when I was running at 5 mph, and I got 33 beats in 10 seconds. I know I was working harder at 6 mph than I was at 5, and I did it for a longer period of time. Maybe my calorie reads on the treadmills aren't so far off. I have a high resting heart rate as it is, and I push myself consistently through my runs.

I've yet to mast the 2000m workout on the rowing machine. I still feel a lot of burn in my abs. I'll just have to keep at it until I can do it without a hitch, then I'll move up to 5000m.

Even though it's pouring rain in sunny Florida, today is a great day for me.

I am SO excited! I just got new running shoes. My Pumas were starting to make my feet cramp up mid-run, so I had to dish out some dough and upgrade.

Can't wait to hit the treadmill tomorrow. :)

I was a little worried yesterday, but I definitely feel like I'm back on track today. I wasn't feeling it this morning when I got up, I REALLY wanted to roll back over and sleep, but I pushed myself and went to the gym.

I watched The Biggest Loser on my iPhone while I ran on the treadmill. That's a great motivator. You hear the trainers shouting at the contestants, but you listen to them like their talking to you. I ran the longest time at 4.5 mph that I ever have, and I ran for an hour and five minutes straight. The slowest I went at any point in time was 3.0 mph, but I wasn't there often. I went back and forth from 3.5 and 4.5.

Today was my last chance workout and my redemption for losing control yesterday after I got groceries.

I'm hoping I can catch a ride from my sister today so that I can buy some new running shoes. The shoes I have now are Pumas, and they aren't exactly meant for running. I'd like some true blue shoes, preferably Nike, since I'm doing so much with Nike+ online and all.

I'm pretty excited about the idea of shoes that won't make my feet sore.
