Golfed last night after 6, did about 4 holes. Lost my swing to a lack of concentration as my buddy golfed alongside and we talked business and our children the whole way. Visual flashes from night before gone. I may have had a very slight migraine. All good now.
Heading out to Downtown LA City Club to take clients out for dinner. I will have some wine and appetizers - a calculated sacrifice. Got my rose cuff links and my Too Boot shoes. Going in style with my honey. Looking forward to sunset view from the LA skyline all the way to the beaches of Santa Monica. My fav is to watch the horrible LA traffic from a distance, it is actually beautiful in a strange way.

Discipline in terms of diet good today, but had weird flashes of light in my left eye last night when my head moved a certain way. No pain or discomfort. Slept well all night. Woke up and still had the flashes but less pronounced. Ate a normal breakfast with a bratwurst, one egg, spinach. Effects dissipated. Now almost 11:00am and haven't had a flash for last two hours.

Observed last night that I no longer crave the crap I love to eat - ice cream, tortilla chips, etc. I've read that the removal of sugar from a diet eventually eliminates the craving. It took two days. Feeling healthy inside out and sleeping improved. Fell a little short of the water intake goal, but I'm ok with that.

Been a long time since my last weigh-in and visit to the gym. Yes, I stepped off the wagon. As my buddy Sam Legaspi always says, action without inspiration is a fool's act. Yesterday during Sunday morning coffee, my girl Sheri and I got to talking about FatSecret and how she can look up the nutritional information for just about any food item. She liked it and we began constructing our menu for the day. I like that we can save favorite meals now and use it construct future menus. This didn't exist before. Now that it exists, it makes the tool something I would like to use.
Since my last weigh-in, I've miraculously maintained my weight instead of eating recklessly back to fatdom. Having moved to Huntington Beach, thereby enabling a more streamlined way of the logistical side of my life, I've reduced stress and increased effectiveness of my time. Sheri and I have been inspired by our vision of the health we want to have and so we have both weighed in and committed to a healthy approach to eating, not that we were anywhere close to the average horible American diet.
