I'm an out of shape stage combatant, combat choreographer, model, etc. I love sword-fighting, swimming, horseback riding, and spending as much time as possible with my fight partner/loving boyfriend and my beautiful four cats. I have a lot of mental drive, but I get lazy really fast and have nowhere near the energy I used to have.

I used to be a lingerie model, and was really proud of my body. I even had a six pack once upon a time! But becoming an "adult" and having a day job really ruined my body and my drive. I have since gone back to working only gigs and as such have more free time to devote to my health, diet and exercise.

I want to feel good about myself again, and maybe be at the point where I could be a fitness model, and I'll have the drive to really work on my stage combat again. I plan in the very near future to go for my certification in Personal Training.

I love to help and encourage other people even if I am not completely practicing what I preach. But I do know my stuff, and am more than happy to answer any questions. If I don't know the answer, be assured I will do a tremendous amount of research to find the truth!

Love to you all!

Shadow Boxing Vs. Real Boxing?
That would be "Heart" not heat.

Shadow Boxing Vs. Real Boxing?
Go for it! It's a perfect 20 minutes that really gets your heat pounding and works your whole body. And with the right music, it's wicked fun!

Shadow Boxing Vs. Real Boxing?
Hey all! I have a question..

Every day I do a set routine of punches and kicks:

100 punches with each hand
20 kicks with each leg
100 punches with each hand
20 kicks with each leg
100 punches with each hand
20 kicks with each leg
100 uppercuts with each hand
20 kicks with each leg
100 side to side (twist) punches with each hand
20 kicks with each leg

Takes me just about 20 minutes to do the whole thing, give or take a minute. No breaks.

My question is; what exercise should I be putting this down as? I have no bag, so it is all in the air. Should I consider this "Boxing" as far as the exercise journal is concerned, or as something else?

Thanks in advance!

carbs in mayo????
Hey, in case you are interested, I just cut mayo out of my diet and replaced it with Hellman's Dijonnaise. Totally delicious, and much healthier!

p90x vs. insanity
I love P90X but had to stop because of illness. It really depends on what you want. Insanity is more cardio, but then P90X has a higher cardio system if that's what you want. P90X has so many DVDs because they allow for different people wanting to do the program differently. Also, you don't have to do pull-ups as they have a resistance band alternative exercise shown each time. As a matter of fact, they offer at least two different options for just about every exercise. The reason why P90X is longer is because it isn't just about burning fat, it's about fully developing your body in every way possible. Then again, if you want results super fast, then Insanity might be the right choice. Best of luck either way!
