I am in my middle fifties, (I am early 60's now.) I have a job that is filled with travel, (But I am not working now due to medical issues) and a busy home life. I Love playing with my dogs and plants, and usually have multiple projects going on. I used to be more of an athlete, but arthritis is causing me hard times (Still). I live with my husband and two college age kids. They expect meals all the time, and a very full refrigerator. I am somewhat tired of being the role of primary chef here. (No changes there.)

trying to get back
Intermittent fasting works for me. I started a challenge that begins in a couple of days. You can start with a shorter fast (14 hours) and increase the fasting time (20 to 23)as you are able. at the eating window, you can eat what you like, although eventually, you will try and improve getting more wholesome food into the meal (s).

Hello (Again?)
Hello,
I am Kelly, and have been a member for a couple of years. I didn't do the work/make the effort as I relied on medicine to get my diabetes under control. I am tired of the medicine I take, and maybe have a different outlook now. I acknowledge I have a sugar addiction. I have done 4 good days of keto and intermittent fasting and lost some 5 lbs of probable water weight.
Last night, I had a very hard time getting any sleep. I had taken an advil PM which always works, but I had so much energy, it was no use. So, after midnight, I had some carbs. forbidden foods on keto. I got to sleep. I hope this insomnia goes away. I pray I can get off the diabetes meds. Thanks for reading.
