I am an ex-teacher who stayed at home to raise three children. I now work part-time in the field of catering.
During my child-rearing years, I would go back and forth between 150lbs. and 180lbs. I was the Yo-Yo dieter you always hear about. Then suddenly, my weight ballooned up to over 200. No matter what I did nothing worked. I was counting calories--weightwatchers--Pale... diet you name it I tried it. Then suddenly the weight starting dropping and I felt sick all the time. Guess what--Type 2 Diabetic. I was almost waiting for it to come as it is in the family. Even those who ate great seemed to get it eventually. In a way best thing for me. I feel so much better and am forced to-- Not let the madness get out of control!
