Believe it or not,this is not my photograph, but one of my beloved dog Mitzi. And of course my name is not Glaun, but Phil and my photo is somewhere else on my Fatsecret page. The name Glaun is my computer Gaming name. For those of you who game, I am most fond of MMRPG games and usually play them multi boxed.

I have been retired for 15 years now. My last job (if you want to call it that, really it was a 5 year extended vacation) was as a ski instructor in Park City UT. I met my current bride there and now live in Carefree AZ. Yes, the life style here is all in the name of our town.

I have three adult children, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

My wife and I live by ourselves (plus critters) and love to travel. I have lived in several countries around the world and have traveled a lot. My primary loves in life are travel, Skiing, Scuba, and Flying. When forced to work, my primary vocation was law.

For 20 years, I was very lean and worked out daily at the gym. After I married this last time I did the typical retired thing, ate, slept and sat in my chair. I put on 30 pounds and got into terrible physical shape.

A couple of years ago we went to Kathmandu, Nepal to climb the Hillary trail part way up to Everest base camp. That almost did me in. I then realized how bad a shape I was in. My wife came to me and said she was concerned about the shape I was in. So she made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Get back to the weight and shape I was in when we first met and she would take me to Palau for a week of diving.

That is when I joined FS. As you can see, it has been slow and steady for me. 1/2 to 1 pound a week. I figure with my new diet and exercise program I will reach my goal of 193 lbs by December, 2013. (I am 74 inches tall)

So there you have it. I am glad to be in the company of so many who have the same goals as I. Good luck to us and as I read somewhere, "God bless us, everyone".

Reporting in.
A few of my friends here will be happy (I hope) to see me report back for the drill.

A death in the family acted as my excuse to stop exercising and recording my calories and food intake. It's been since about December. Of course there no excuse to stop being healthy and as a result I put on a few pounds, my back is hurting, and I have lost a lot of energy.
Since I will be diving in 10 weeks and I am tired of feeling poorly and losing muscle tone I am back to work with FS and I am in the gym daily.

I am so glad to see old friends still chatting and commenting and staying healthy.

Exercise Log
Just be sure when you are adding, subtracting, or modifying exercise time that the total time equals 24 hours. If it doesn't, then added or subtracted minutes won"t register. To delete, use 0 minutes. Use the short cut "daily exercise" options on the right side of the exercise log page for different exercises for different days.
My opinion - keeping the exercise log is far less important than accurately tracking calories. Also, if you are really dedicated to maintaining a healthy diet for life, than go for it. Do it all. This is about doing what ever it takes to lose weight. Exercise is part of loss.

too upset with my weight
Your weight history shows a loss of 7 pounds in slightly less than 30 days. What is wrong with this. You just need to keep on keeping on.
However, your idea of a healthy and sustainable diet if way off, and the RDI calculator in FS is too generous.
