Hello All!

I have been struggling with weight issues my whole life. Even when I was younger and thought I was overweight, I was actually fairly thin and very athletic and active. Once I got older and the 3 sports that I used to play at a time stopped. The weight crept up on me!

I tried weight watchers before and had great results, I lost 30-40lbs and was very happy with myself. I was eating great and even was a vegitarian for 8 years. Then when I met my husband who is a meat and potatoes kind of guy, I started to take on his eating habbits. He doesn't do vegetables unless they are raw, and he is constantly trying to gain weight! HE does work out, lift weights on a daily basis but he can eat whatever he wants. I thought well if he can eat that why can't I? Well, after having 2 kids in 3 years and eating whatever he was eating....NOW I KNOW WHY! That 40 lbs is back on, and then some!

I stay home with my children during the day and do work part time at night. I have somewhat of a crazy schedual and thought well what is the poing of dieting if I can't exercize? For me it has to be both! I can't lose weight if I am not active, my metabolism needed a serious jump start!

So I started back up on weight watchers about a week ago and joined the gym. I started putting myself first and am trying to not feel guilty about leaving the house for 2 hours to go work out.
I do have a bit of a crazy schedual but so far I am VERY motivated.
I did it before I can do it again!

I am trying to lose around 40-50lbs, but I am trying not to look at the numbers on the scale. I tend to become obsessive about that and I get discouraged easily.

Good luck to all!!

tom weigh in
I have a question! This friday will be my TOM weigh in. I know there are a lot of variables, but what is "normal" for weight gain or water retention around that time of the month. Trying not to get to discouraged for the upcoming weigh in!
Thanks! I appreciate any input Very Happy

Thank you! You don't know how good you have things sometimes until they are gone! Hopefully that body won't be gone for to much longer Smile

first weigh in
So I am very proud of myself! Although, I started on this website only a few days ago, I started my weight watchers last friday. So today was the official one week weigh in and........I LOST 7.5 POUNDS Smile

I know a lot of it is probably water weight, but I will take it! I know the next few weeks won't be as dramatic, but I am not looking for huge numbers, just as long as they are going in the right direction.

day one
So its Day one on the site and day 7 on my diet/exercize program. Just to let everyone know a little bit about me, I am a stay at home mom and mother of two little boys. I do work some evenings part time at night so I have a very crazy schedual! I always thought I was "chubby" growing up, but looking back, I had an awesome figure! I was always very active and involved in many sports at a time. Well then I went to college and I stopped exercizing and started partying. The pounds crept up! I did Weight watchers once before and had great results, I think I lost 35-40lbs. I met my husband and had 2 kids in 3 years and I have officially let myself go! I am trying really hard to get myself back on track, I joined a gym and started doing weight watchers. I had all the books from the last time I went to the meetings. I am motivated to start putting myself first! I just hope that I can remain as motivated as I have the past week. Out of the past 7 days I have worked out 5 and maintained great eating habbits! Heres to keeping moving forward Smile
