i have multiple sclerosis. i am losing weight finally because food doesn't interest me as it used to ... so i guess the blessing of m.s. is that.

i am stuck in bed much of the time due to pain ... therefore my activity level is very low. on good days i can manage going downstairs and maybe going for a (slow) walk around a store if someone is available to drive.

my wonderful husband and i have been married for 20 years. we are the parents of three wonderful young men.

i would love to meet new people ... especially any who might have similar frustrations with their situation in life due to a disability.

New to the site and dieting
i'm not in chicago ... but i have a good bit of weight to lose and would love some buddies working on the same ... i've hit a platau (can't remember how to spell that) but i know eventually i will lose more

Skeptical about fatsecret.
i think a pound a day is unrealistic for anyone, save if you lose water weight which will only work for a few pounds/few days and then you'll be dehydrated anyway ...

if you take in 3500 calories less than what you use over the course of a week you will lose a pound/wk ... minus 7000/wk 2 pounds ... so you have to break that up as to how much you need to subtract per day from what you use.

i can't exercise at all really, and i am losing using this equation Smile

i had to take iv steroids this past week for my m.s. and it's made me gain weight i think ... here's to next week Smile
