Holy Crap on a Cracker!!! How could I go up 2.5 pounds, 5 weeks post bariatric surgery? This sucked. I did eat out a lot, and found it hard to record accurately what I was eating. I also started working out much harder at the gym, so I'm pretty sore, and I'm sure my muscles are swollen and retaining fluid. Still, 2.5 pounds? Ugh, back on a diligent track this week. Hoping for a better looking result next Monday.
224.5 lb Lost so far: 5.5 lb.    Still to go: 34.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

One gallon of water weighs approximately eight pounds, divide that by four and each quart is about 2 pounds. Feeling a bathroom break coming on?

You said you ate out a bit more than normal. Chances are, your intake of salt was higher than normal then, and salt causes water retention. As said earlier in the comments, a quart weighs around 2lbs. You just need to keep watching things, cut down on the salt, and drink plenty of water to wash out your system and keep you hydrated. Best of luck to you. I talked to a good friend of mine tonight that had bariatric surgery and he lost over 200lbs in the last 2 years.
