I'm starting out the new year on a good note. Down .6 is not a lot but it's down. Today is a fasting day. I'm still a bit confused on fasting. I haven't had anything to eat since 6:oo pm last night so 24 hours would be 6:00 pm tonight. On my food entry, it will look like I've eaten more today than I should but I know that I've only eaten 500-ish calories in the 24 hours. Am I figuring this wrong? More research needs to be done!

Hang in there everyone and stay strong! Keep your eye on your big goal but rejoice in any goal!
164.6 lb Lost so far: 2.4 lb.    Still to go: 14.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Fasting can go however you want it to. I personally like 20:4 and I eat from 330 to 730 pm. Whatever your eating window is, it should still show up as being at or under you calorie goal, though. If not, then you are eating too much.

Even small progress is progress!! It doesn't matter if you lose the weight by the pound or by the tenth of a pound, so long as you keep going.

Intermittent fasting is about having a short eating window in each 24 hour period. For example you might choose to eat between 12:00pm and 6:00pm each day with just water and tea the rest of the time. Essentially you would fast 18 hours a day and some of it would be asleep.
