warrenwinter's Journal, 21 December 2016

Well, it is a pretty, but cloudy day in Southern Cal. I am feeling muscles, especially in my legs, that I haven't felt in a while, after my jogging, and weight, leg workout, yesterday, but all is pretty good, and my back is improving. The true test will be to repeat it all on Thursday. Hoping to hear about my car repairs, today. Kind of interested in what plans I have for the day. Everyone, have a great day, and holidays!

Nice pictures - What did I miss with your car? Hope it is repaired well and quickly. I thought of you the other day - we used Vegas as our base while on vacation last week. We rented a car and drove southern Utah and western Arizona. Stayed in St. George - very scenic and restful.

HCB, RATS ate my car. It was so bad that they quoted me $1600 to fix it. They have to replace the gas tank. There is an excess fume hose, as the tanks are plastic now. Without the hose, which the rats ate, the tank could expand and explode. I made an insurance claim on it.

HCB, that is a lovely drive through Utah and St. George. It reminds me of that trip my mother and I made, one time. She had a lead foot like me. I remember the police trying to get us for speeding, but I inherited my mom's slyness. lol

You know it is funny, it is actually very difficult to look over hundreds of dumb pictures to find a few that are unique, and can be posted. I spend upwards to an hour a day looking at them on Imgur. I found some great ones today of the Queen of England. I may begin posting them tomorrow.

By the way, I have killed a dozen rats now.

Great photos! Sorry about the rats. One of my son's cats has killed a couple but she's a hunter - brought a large dead pigeon through the cat flap once. They have no idea how she did it. They got home from work and it was lying under their dining room table with its feet in the air.

Doobrie, LOL Wow, I can picture that scene! We had a Chihuahua, that would bring mice in through our doggie door. Thank God they were dead.

Thanks John, and you have a great holidays, and diet!

I didn't know Chihuahuas would catch mice. Unfortunately for my son, his kitty's gifts aren't always dead!

Funny, I went by a huge Goodwill store, and bought 5 great pullover shirts for $5 a piece, that I would normally buy for $15-20. I'm telling the wife I got them from Nordstrom's. lol

Wow, Doobrie, I guess you watch the doggie door pretty closely? lol

That second photo is very scary! This from a Midwesterner who doesn't have a basement!

These shirts are so nice, I'm guessing I'm in a deadman's clothes now. Yikes!

My son has to, Warren. Fortunately he has his own house with his girlfriend. My cat has got too old to bring in "presents" now. He used to carefully carry in baby mice and baby birds that had fallen out of their nests and place them at my feet. He didn't hurt them. I think he wanted to adopt them! In fact we had a mouse set up home behind the base boards in our kitchen once and it was very difficult to get rid of. I was trying to trap it humanely but in the end we had to poison it 🙁. When my husband remodelled the kitchen he found a huge (empty) nest!

Doobrie, you are like me, you hate to kill anything, but this car bill scared the bejesus out of me. Rhonda, my mother lived in Oklahoma, and she said she spent a lot of her childhood in a basement avoiding scenes like this. Thanks! Looks like KFC tonight!
