I used to be an athlete and was in very good shape. I had more muscle than fat and easily maintained my target weight. I have been working at a desk for about five years now and don't exercise as much as I used to. Have morphed from hardbody into soft boy. Want to do the improbable, lose weight and gain muscle to get back to where I was.

How Often does everyone weigh themselves?
Same time almost every morning. It helps me see what impacts success. Weight will always fluctuate, after a night of drinking you will weigh in 2 lbs less but it is just dehydration. Other times you will weigh in 2 lbs more after eating slow absorbing proteins (steak night). In the late afternoon you will almost always weigh 2 lbs more. Instantaneous weight is not the indicator of health or good practice, it as a tool to help understand what your body is going through. The important indicator is the long term trend (up or down) and how you look in the mirror. To each their own and good luck to all.
