Start Date: May 19, 2016
Starting weight: 222.8
Today: 191.9

Total loss 30.1 lbs

Eating Plan: Intermittent Fasting, daily 16:8 with occasional longer fasts.

I eat daily generally between the hours of 1-9 PM. I have not logged food for most of the past month, simply made wise choices and eaten until full. Being an organic gardener I try to eat a wide variety of live food during my day. Other than that nothing extreme.

I am allergic to wheat and probably am borderline Celiac (my daughter has it), so I don't eat much of most all grains. Because of the intestinal damage grains of all sorts are difficult for my body to process. Haven't eaten sugar for a long time so sweets aren't an issue for me. My biggest weakness? Salty, crunchy foods like nuts :-) Even trying to move those to raw nuts for the enzymes and nutritional content.

30+ more to go. First eating plan that has gotten easier as I go along. Highly recommend reading Dr. Jason Fung's "The Obesity Code" if you're at wit's end with being unable to lose weight no matter what you do. That was me in May.
191.9 lb Lost so far: 20.1 lb.    Still to go: 26.9 lb.    Diet followed 100%.

I'm allergic to wheat, too. It affects my heart instead of my bowels. IF is a real life saver. Literally AND figuratively. You are doing great, MM!

HCB - Actually down 30.1 lbs! I changed diets and Fatsecret changed my start weight. I wish they would allow editing after a diet switch, but oh well... :-)

Rhontique - I've only gotten part way through, but have watched a huge number of his videos. If you had told me I would be capable of a 3 day fast 6 months ago I would have laughed you out of the room. It has taken time, and I have built up to this but I am completing a 3 day this afternoon. 24 hours are a piece of cake now.

3 days! Amazing! I can do 24 or 36 hours, but that's about as long as I have gone.

I had a reason for my first 2 day fast (my niece was almost killed in a horrific accident and we didn't know if she was going to live or die). So I fasted and prayed for her. This week I fasted and prayed for our country. My "secret" is a don't start out planning a longer fast, I just go with how I'm feeling each day. I think by giving myself an "out" if I'm not comfortable it diffuses a bunch of the mental aspect, at least for me. I was actually amazed at how easy the 3rd day was. The 2nd is the toughest. 1 day is pretty much a breeze. Your body adjusts over time. You learn that hunger is a temporary feeling. When you go past that feeling it stops. Amazed at the mental clarity and sharpness that comes. As soon as you eat you get very tired as your digestive system draws a lot of energy from your body to function.
