I was in Kansas City three nights for a business meeting Friday-Monday. Friday night I had burnt ends BBQ, Saturday night brisket BBQ, and Sunday pulled pork BBQ. What a disaster! On the good side I walked 25+ miles and had two hour-plus work outs. Net result no change in weight over weekend. I could never live in Kansas City, the BBQ would kill me.

And STILL down .8 sounds like a WIN to me, not a disaster! Good for you!

The same thing happened to me when I went to a family funeral in Macon Georgia. We at BBQ four times in a 30 hour visit. Insane and delicious! And oh do my Southern cousins know how to empty the bottles! They sent off "red neck uncle Bob" to his maker in high style.

I agree IET, Kansas City can be dangerous!! You also dropped almost a pound while you were there...that is AWESOME!! Mmmm, BBQ is a natural and tasty "protein replenishment"...the trouble is that being tasty it is sometimes...well OK...most times hard to control portion size. Keeping track of intake, intermittent fasting (prior to or after), and also (as you have indicated) - compensating with extra activity can keep you on track. Watch out for the potato salad and other calorie dense side dishes... ;-)
