Day 8

Weight 200.2 (yes a lb below yesterday and yet another opportunity to record a "new" low on fatsecret)

12-2 and 200.2 ... it must be the day of "2's"

I believe it is Friday, right? YAY!!! I have a pretty busy day ahead but it will pass quickly and soon I'll be back here at home ... ready to enjoy my weekend. I think I'm taking Monday off too ... trying to take a few vacation days so I can see my hubby a little more often while he is working nights.

So I am pleased with this week so far!!! I guess Kingkeld could officially tell me "I told you so" now, though I believe he already told me that yesterday!!! Still ... I think a FEW WEEKS into this way of eating will give me more information about how my body responds. Still ... much better than the stall I was feeling before. Tomorrow will be my indulgence day. I know the scale will go up again on Sunday and Monday of next week ... just gearing my brain up for that.

You'll laugh but perhaps I'm not the only crazy person who does such things. I always weigh myself first thing in the morning. Well this morning I had done so, had come downstairs to start the fire and let the dog out and had "the call" myself. So quickly I scurried back up the stairs to the facilities. Of course, when my duty was done ... I thought to myself ... gee I must weigh less now and stepped on the scale again!!! I sort of really, really want to see 199.8 can you tell???!!! LOL!!! Scale said the exact same thing, 200.2.

I am grateful that I have lost nearly 11 lbs since October 24th.

I am grateful for reading a journal entry from Chattycathy yesterday (my goodness her life is a whirlwind!!!).

I am grateful for a good night's sleep.

I am grateful for FRIDAY!!!

I am grateful for the presence of mind to take care of myself.

Have a lovely day ... time to make myself something to eat ... I am HUNGRY!!! Oh and all that other good stuff so I can go to work.

Take care of yourselves, be kind to yourselves!!

You lost 1.0 lb (0.5 %) since you last weighed in on Thursday 01 Dec 11.
At that rate it will take you about 3 weeks to get to your goal weight.
LOL!!! Couldn't resist pasting this in. Yesterday it was going to take me 15 months to reach my goal weight. Now it will only take me three weeks?!!! Good grief!! (though I like reading this one more!!!)
200.2 lb Lost so far: 59.0 lb.    Still to go: 15.2 lb.    Diet followed 100%.

Wow you are doing fantastic. I am so happy for you. Keep up the great work and I am hoping that soon I will be heading in the right direction again. I am also very happy you are taking some time off to spend with your hubby. Enjoy it. You work hard and you deserve it.

Ahem... let me just clear my throat here... ready? Here goes... I TOLD YOU SO! :) LOL! Seriously, I'm happy you were able to record a new low. I haven't been able to since the 19th! I am seriously hoping to drop like 4 lbs by tomorrow so I can record one before Indulgence Day. :) I hope you're not as addicted to new lows as I am.

LOL!!! Of course I'm addicted to new lows!!! Always have been. Always will be (unless I fade away into nothing which isn't likely!!!). It was nice to see 200.2 this morning. Of course now I'm anxiously hoping that tomorrow morning says 199.8!!! Am I never satisfied???

We never are satisfied with the scales. My sister-in-law and I were talking just this morning about it. She's doing bootcamp with me. We have not really seen the loss, but we are definitely seeing it in our clothes. This morning she put on a shirt that was now very loose on her. She has lost no weight on the scales in 8 weeks, well she has lost, put back on, lost, etc but she's at the same weight from day 1 of bootcamp. She texted me in excitement and said she's going to stop letting the scales frustrate her, because "CLOTHES DON'T LIE". I am taking that to heart because, I too am not seeing great loss but clothes are fitting. I wore to work this week a pair of pants, that even laying on the bed sucking it all in I couldn't zip (don't laugh ladies, you know we have all done that before). I pulled them right on, were loose in the thighs and zipped no problem. Would definitley look better with about 10 pounds off, but I am pleased with results and plan to continue Bootcamp through the holidays. January 1 will have to start my own workout program as our schedule won't permit 5 am bootcamp January - March becuase of Stockshow season. Would be able to maybe make once a week and didn't want to pay the money for only 1 day a week sometimes not able to go at all in a week.

YAY JC!!! Yes, scales are just one tool. We put way too much stock in those numbers I think. Well I do anyway. I'm happy to hear your clothes are fitting better and your SIL is right. Clothes don't lie!!! Go girl!!!

This a Theme from Rocky moment. SO happy for you. Your persistence and patience are showing. And yes I am exactly the same re: weighing in after the fact. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It's a mystery.

Madaboutmoose, darlin', you have no idea how I feel for you right now. I have cold chills of excitement.... YOU ARE so- so - so close to going under that 200 mark! Honey, if this works out for you... Kingkeld and I are going to have some serious talks. LOL! I am diabetic though so don't know how much of that spiking is good for me.... plus the overloading of food and my acid reflux thing... ewwwwww! Maybe I will just have to cheer you on! Anyhoo....I am so PROUD and EXCITED for you!!!!!! WTG!!!!!!

YAY!!! I've been on your page all day trying to comment, I've been away from my desk! SOOOOO happy for you. This is awesome! I think tomorrow you'll have the low if you are good today and then sat will be a good indulgence day -well deserved. Man I missed your post that explains what you are doing! Shucks. lol No you aren't the only one to do such crazy things, point is though we don't lose weight w/ our bowels... I had a buddy here that was losing weight while constipated for days and she couldn't figure it out. Seriously taken me forever to hit submit on this comment. LOL

LOL! "The call." how funny. The feel of your floor shaking is me doing a happy dance for you. I can't wait to get there myself. So here comes the TMI. Plug your ears. I DO lose weight after "the call." I eat so much fiber that I can lose a lb. after. No, you're not the only one to do that particular thing. And, M2B, It depends on what you eat for your spike day. If it's all whole grains, lean protein and those beautiful veggies and fruits, your sugar shouldn't spike and you shouldn't have reflux. I'm spiking and it's great. I haven't had to take Nexium in months and I no longer have to raise the head of my bed, even though I still have a huge hiatal hernia. (Of course, I had to drop gluten, and that's had amazing effects on many systems in my body. Who knew?)

Wow!! So much fun to get home and read all these enthusiastic comments!!! What a wonderful way to end a work week!! I was famished by the time I got home, unloaded the car, and put away the groceries. Fortunately I had a gourmet dinner in mind that took very little time to prepare. Ha! A bag of lettuce and chicken (already cooked at the market) that I threw into the bowl of lettuce and then put salad dressing on it!!! Did the trick though!! Now it is time to change my clothes and cozy in for the evening. Going to be a chilly one here ... so I have two wood stove fires going ... one in the house and one in the attached apartment/mud room area. For indulgence tomorrow I AM going to have some cake (mom's request and how could I say no?), perhaps some hummus with pita chips, and I bought cashews. I love nuts. Yes, I will weigh and measure everything. Here's hoping I might see 199.8 tomorrow before I begin my feast day. Ooooh, I think I like that "feast day" instead of "indulgence day" ... what do you think??
