Gonna have a busy day out of the house all day with shopping and meeting with Faith's teacher, I am pretty sure I can stay on plan but I don't know about remember what food I eat to record it. Going to take my water bottle with me so I hopefully keep up on that. After my TOM lost 3 pounds :D so today has started as a great day :) Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Since I am gone a lot what I do is write down what I eat as I go. It can be on a napkin, receipt whatever is handy otherwise I will forget. Hope the meeting goes well.

Missy - You'll do fine - as long as you eat healthy it is not a major crime if you forget to write down something.

Did the shopping and now back home for about an hour before the meeting/open-house. I will actually eat lunch at home so it'll be easier to keep track. Dinner will be a different story but at least I know what my "okay" foods are :) Thanks you guys and I hope I get a good vibe with her teacher, I'm a very paranoid Mommy when it comes to strangers taking care of my children lol

I write it all down as I put it in my bag to take to work. Then add dinner to that when I get home. Record it on here in the evening after I am sitting down relaxing.

Back from open-house and Faith was in tears within the first 30 min. It is going to be hard... I have done terrible for today's eating, not that I ate bad stuff, just barely ate anything at all from stress and being busy... Only got in 24 oz of water so far and by now I usually have 3 times as much. I'm going to try and make dinner really count...broccoli and cauliflower and some chicken I think...

Oh, why so sad??? Is she afraid of being there? Did she not meet or connect w/ any children at this open house? What's wrong???

She wanted the yellow water dropper to mix colors. As soon as she was in tears she looked for me, I was there today but when it's class-time I won't be... She did meet one girl who also sounded like her speak might be a little behind and the other girl changed seat s just to sit by her during story time. So I am hoping they become friends quick :)

Well, did you get any good vibes from the teacher, that she had any ideas on how to handle this type of situation??? She is so young...but truly, when you are not there...she will likely respond differently. Most kids do. They seem to be more emotional when a parent is present. And better able to 'figure things out' when we are not! Don't know why...that's just been my experience. If you think this teacher will be good for her...than give it a good couple of weeks, and keep encouraging her to make friends, and enjoy each day, and be excited and happy for her to be going... help her to focus on selecting her backpack, or new pencils, or whatever... it helps make them feel special about the whole process.

She did well addressing the situation and Faith calmed down after clinging to me tears streaming down her face. I didn't want to say much so I could see what the teacher would do. I am sure she will get the hang of it but I don't know if I will :(

oh, poor little thing....i will be doing this exact same thing next week...my 4 yr old has decided to have seperation anxiety NOW....kinda missed the boat, but perhaps he feels better late than never :) i already informed his school that i will be hanging out at school for a while next thurs/fri until he acclimates to his environment...plus he is my baby (i have 4) so i want to cherish the times that he misses me!

They allow the parents to volunteer in the classroom but since I have a 1 yr old I can't do that :( This is probably going to be easier for her than me...having my first child be the "special needs" one has made for a difficult few years. I just worry so much, Also I don't know how many kids they have in class but only 2 teachers...
