Way to go! Read in your profile about your group. I'd like to share one of the reason's that made me aware of my size. When I went to the Doctor's office, all the seats were full and I had to stand and wait. I was looking at this man seated in one of the chairs and he was squeezed in between the arms of the chair and looked very uncomfortable. I started thinking to myself, boy I'll never let myself get that big. Well that person gets called into the office and I walk over to take his seat. It's then that I realized, that not only was I as big as that gentleman, but I was larger and just about got into the chair. My point is, that when I looked at myself in the mirror, I never realized just how big I was. I saw a much smaller person in that mirror, and thank that man in the Doctor's office for showing me different. Good luck with your group.

Ahhhh Chillie....it's all about perspective, isn't it. I remember when I was quite a bit heavier asking my daughter to point out people that had my body size/shape because I just couldn't visualize myself even though the mirror doesn't lie. Stay the course!

Chillie, thanks for the comment. Body image is a curious thing isn't it! I tell my folks all the time that we each need to be self aware of our health but to also remember that a person's worth is not based on his/her size or shape. Good luck to you in your journey!
