Man it was sooo hard to get up today. So my weigh in...yeah...no loss no gain so I am okay with this. I thought I would have gained but I did not. My blood pressure is slightly elevated though so I am going to take my medication. Not sure why it is...could be because I ate junk yesterday except for dinner. Wouldn't be surprised truthfully. So today, I am going back to my normal routine of how I eat and everything and try to get more nutritious food in my diet while fighting off that urge to eat those damned drumsticks in the freezer.

All in all, today is a rather good day. Little tired and didn't lose but I am positive in my path that I walk and will stubbornly continue to walk. A whole lifestyle change is not an easy thing to do but I am confident that I will get there. I am doing my best to take care of myself rather than worry about others (my kids being the exception) because I have neglected myself for so long. I realize now how harmful I have been towards me so this is now on the mend. I need to continue on working through the healing process and soon, I'll become the person I want to be.

On a side, I want to look into starting a garden but I don't know how...like I have no knowledge on this subject. Any ideas anyone?

All we can do is get up and try everyday. If you stumble a bit today, you try again tomorrow. You only fail if you quit trying...Later.

I would have to agree madjak30. For so long I had failed because I quit trying but when I gave up soda several months ago...I have decided that that just wasn't okay. I had a ton of excuses as to why I couldn't work out or why I ate badly...but wasn't willing to change it. Now though, I am making an effort and I am a little kinder to myself with my little stumbles. :)

I garden some. What type would you like to do and what state and type of area do you live in (water and soil wise, temp wise etc).

If veggies, I recommend starting small and doing a 4x8 or 4x12' raised bed with fencing around it to keep out critters. Make sure the plot drains well yet retains enough moisture and gets lots of sun. Do a search on prepping soil for a vegetable garden and put in whatever nutrients you lack. This year I have tomatoes, cukes (never had success with cukes), cantaloupe and zuchinni in my 4x8'. The ultra-long cold spell screwed some stuff up by planting late plus a very rainy summer, plus my own stupidity, but the tomatos have been very tasty. In the past I have also done sweet potatoes, corn, sunflowers (for seeds), watermelon (I have no luck with watermelon either), onions, lettuce, broccoli and carrots. Message me if you want more info....
