I am really down,spiritually that is, I do not understand what is wrong. I eat very healthy(not perfect). I walk alot everyday(even though I have foot problems).I ought to at least lose something. It is very discouraging. Even if I lost 5 lbs.,I would feel more encouraged to try harder. My confidence & ego are really down. If I just had an answer as to what is wrong.
140.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 30.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

You only have 1 week of data. In fact, you only have 2 data points. That's really not enough to make any conclusions. Give it another week or two. If you still aren't making progress, it's time to re-evaluate your approach. Also, be sure you're recording your diet and exercise info. If you don't have good records on what you're doing, you can't change and you can't track what your changes do for you. I've been frustrated in the past when I thought I was doing things right and not seeing progress. However, I wasn't tracking my inputs (food and exercise) so my output tracking (weight and BMI) had no context and no meaning. Also keep in mind, weight fluctuates with salt intake, water intake, weather, etc, so you may very well have reduced your unhealthy weight and had it masked by natural fluctuations.

sometimes i get overwhelmed by the whole thing and find myself in that same spiritual slump. this week has been hard. What is helping is that I break it down to each little act- not just working on good days, but each meal, each choice to be healthy. Hopefully the little things will add up.
