I've lost 2 pounds in the first 3 days. Today it's milk and bananas + soup. I'm using unsweetened almond milk which is very low in protein, so I'll make up for that by using fat free Greek yogurt to make a shake for my snack. I'm also having Chai tea made with the almond milk. So far I've followed the diet pretty closely, while trying to use what I already have on hand. I put jarred roasted red peppers in the soup because I'm not a real big fan of green peppers and I thought they would go better on the beef & veggie day, Day 6, to make steak with peppers & onions. I also didn't put my mushrooms in the soup. Instead I crisped some up to sprinkle over my salad and Baked Potato for Day 2. I supplemented the cabbage in the soup with some collards, which were already prepped and in my freezer. I have a nice steak for Day 6, and since I'm already taken cholesterol meds, I bought fish for Day 5. For lunch I'm making cevice with lots of tomatoes and adding salsa from my fridge for flavoring. To make up for the missing fat that would be in the steak I'm using 100 calorie guacamole, which I already have as well. Dinner will be Puttanesca, made with canned tuna, anchovies, lots of tomatoes, concentrated down to make a thick sauce. The anchovies will provide a little "good fat" and some black olives can provide the rest of the fat that would have been in the steak.
