Checked my online weight record and here I am again, close to the high I usually get to, and what I weighed last February. Last year I managed to lose 10 pounds by the end of May, then stalled until August, then started up again to arrive at the same place now.
I usually manage to come within 10 pounds of not being "overweight" then creep up to getting really close to being obese before I do something about it.

So it's that time again...and this time I need to go for all 20 pounds by July 4th. I have plenty to do to keep me active, and now that David is in CA for a while I have no one to feed but myself. So I decided to go for broke and get my jump start with the cabbage soup diet for 1 week.

My plan is to stay on a modified version of it after the 1st week, having a bowl of Vegetable Soup (made with whatever vegetables I've got) as part of each Lunch and Dinner, and keeping Breakfast to either a vegetable frittata made with egg whites (on the days without other animal protein) or a bowl of oatmeal with fruit and walnuts. I'll stick to 1 potato a week, and brown or wild rice once a week, and meat, chicken or fish just twice a week. I'm going to add fat free greek yogurt on the fruit days, and tofu or beans or veggie burgers on the veggies-only days for additional calcium and protein. I'm using fatsecret.com to track everything.
